About me

Hello,
I’m Johan.

Founder of Advimotion. Independent CFO for 8 years, after experiences in M&A, investment funds and crowdfunding. Today I help SME and startup leaders turn their finance into a steering lever, rather than a source of stress.

My journey

Three experiences that
shape my approach.

Not an exhaustive CV. Three roles that make a real difference in the quality of support I offer today.

1 Before independence

Investment fund & crowdfunding

Two stints on the deal-makers’ side. In the investment fund, I saw how a committee dissects a file: what gets through, what doesn’t, what’s a deal-breaker. On the crowdfunding platform, I managed the relationship with Bpifrance, regions and banks, and learned the concrete criteria of every non-dilutive instrument.

For you: I know both sides of the table — equity and non-dilutive.
2 As an independent

Fundraiser & M&A advisor

My first independent role: supporting leaders on their strategic operations. Fundraising (pre-seed to Series B), business sales, acquisitions, financial due diligence. Over €10M raised in total for my clients. Document structuring (BP, dataroom, pitch deck), connecting with the right investors, term sheet and shareholder agreement negotiation, coordination through to closing.

For you: I’ve already led operations like yours.
3 For the past 8 years

Independent CFO

+15 CFO assignments completed. +100 business plans built. All sectors, all stages (creation to scale-up). My day-to-day job: steering treasury, setting up KPIs and dashboards, optimizing finance processes and organization, structuring investor reporting, and automating everything that can be automated through the data & AI stack.

For you: your finance function becomes a steering lever, not a burden.
My conviction
A CFO in 2026 is no longer
someone who types numbers. It’s someone who asks the right questions, and has the time to do so.

The classic mistake SME leaders make is to think they need either a full-time CFO or none at all. Between the two, there’s a third path: a senior part-time profile, plugged into a data and AI stack, automating everything that can be automated to focus exclusively on decisions.

That’s why Advimotion combines three things: the senior expertise of a former-fund & former-M&A CFO (strategic reading of the numbers), an operational data and AI stack (Pennylane, Qonto, OpenAI, n8n) and a flexible format (2 to 10 days per month depending on your stage). This mix lets me support several leaders in parallel without compromising on quality.

What this means for you

Three concrete implications.

My background isn’t a marketing argument. It has very operational implications on the quality of support you get.

🎯

Your numbers hold up in front of an investment committee

Because I’ve seen them defended (and torn apart) on the fund side, I know which ones to present, which to protect, and which never to put forward without an argued hypothesis. Your BP won’t be dismissed in 30 seconds.

💡

You mix dilutive and non-dilutive intelligently

Many firms only cover one side. I know both: equity (VCs, business angels, family offices) and Bpifrance, French Tech, banks, grants. A good mix often cuts your dilution in half.

No black box — you stay in control

All source files belong to you. The stack runs on your tools, not mine. At the end of the mission, you keep the finance organization and stack operational, ready to bring in-house.
